This year the academics could choose from the 71 feature films, animated films and documentary features which had been distributed in the year of 2016. The films can be awarded the statuette of Czech Lion in 15 statutory categories. The most nominations throughout all the categories have been obtained by the films Masaryk (Prominent Patient), Anthropoid and Učitelka (The Teacher). The awarding ceremony will take place in Rudolfinum on 4th March 2017. The gala evening will be newly hosted by Adela Banášová.
